Overview
Admitted to practice in 1996, Joe Coomes has more than twelve years of litigation experience, focusing primarily on litigation involving business, consumer, products liability and real estate issues, often including class action litigation.
Joe regularly practices in state and federal courts in Georgia as well as other jurisdictions at both the trial and appellate levels. He has represented corporations and individuals, both as plaintiffs and defendants. He has also assisted numerous clients in successfully resolving matters through alternative dispute resolution methods and is currently in the process of becoming a certified mediator.
From 1996 through 2003, Joe was a trial attorney with the firm of Weinstock & Scavo where he aggressively represented the interests of his clients within Georgia and throughout the country. For the five years before joining McConnell & Sneed, Joe practiced with the firm of Phears & Moldovan, continuing his focus on complex business litigation and class action litigation. As a general business litigator, Joe handles a wide variety of day-to-day business problems, issues, disputes and claims, including contract, professional liability, consumer, construction, warranty, trade secret, covenants not to compete, negligence, product liability and other complex business and commercial matters.Education
